Sisqó has found himself back in the headlines but not because he’s dropping a new project. After news spread that a man allegedly impersonated the Dru Hill frontman during New York Fashion Week, the real Sisqó is considering his options in legally addressing the matter.
The Baltimore entertainer spoke with TMZ and explained why he and his team have shifted gears on addressing the actions of the man.
As we reported last week, the man apparently tried to board a private jet bound for the Caribbean as Sisqó but was denied after the names didn’t match up with his passport. It was this instance that caused Sisqó to speak out to TMZ and blast the man for his actions.
“It pisses me off that other people got hurt,” said Sisqó. “When we heard about the little girl who was really distraught or the young man who put his reputation on the line to get this imposter guy into these New York Fashion Week things.”

Sisqó added, “Security people talking about having their jobs lost so at this point, I had to take it serious.”
The “Thong Song” artist elaborated on the girl, explaining that she thought he would be performing at her Bat Mitzvah.
The man claims that he never pretended to be Sisqó and was instead just mistaken for him, although it was reported that he was overheard telling Fashion Week attendees that he performed that week.
