Rapper French Montana has said that he will no longer fly with Delta Airlines after YouTuber Adam Saleh claimed he was removed from a flight for speaking Arabic.

Sharing the now mega-viral video through his own Instagram page, French Montana wrote:

“I don’t like speaking on things like this but this struck a nerve. I have a mother that doesn’t speak English and discrimination like this makes me really sad. The fact that this can happen to her makes me sick. I’m NOT using delta anymore smh #equality

French Montana was born in Morocco, and spoke no English when he arrived in America at the age of 13.

While Saleh argues that the only reason he was removed from the plane is that he spoke in Arabic on the phone to his mother, Delta has said differently.

In a statement, the airline wrote: “Based on the information collected to date, it appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting. This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight. While one, according to media reports, is a known prankster who was video recorded and encouraged by his traveling companion, what is paramount to Delta is the safety and comfort of our passengers and employees. It is clear these individuals sought to violate that priority.”
