The highly touted sophomore release from the Clipse is said to be expected August 29. The group has been in label limbo over the past few years and hasn’t released a full length since the acclaimed, Neptunes produced, Lord Willin in 2002.
Since 2000, the group has moved from Elektra to the Arista/StarTrak deal, but once the Neptunes attempted to change their recording home to Geffen, the Clipse refused to make the jump and decided to “re-up-re-up” with Jive Records where they will be working under the new imprint Re-Up Records.
The sophomore album,Hell Hath No Fury, has released it’s first single, Mr. Me Too, is currently in rotation around the country.
Pusha T and Malice attempted to get out under their contract, but ultimately had to bring in negotiators for both sides to settle their differences of opinion.

“Will this mark the end of the Neptunes heavy production for the Clipse?”
It’s unlikely seeing that their newest single is a Neptunes beat. After the success of Volumes I and II under the Re-Up gang, the new release will also start a slew of other Re-Up artists like, Ab-Liva, Sandman, Roscoe P. Coldchain and Rick-Lo and their duo, the Stock Holders.
Pusha T reportedly told XXL, “There’s nothing on radio that sounds like it. This album is 100% meaner and darker. We’re trying to resurrect East Coast hip-hop.”
