Back in early March, we learned that Macklemore has a nude painting of Justin Bieber that he hangs in his studio.
The artwork consists of Bieber having maple syrup pouring down his chest with a pancake balanced on his crown jewels.
Now, during a recent conversation with TMZ in Los Angeles, Macklemore explained why he owns such a piece.
“It’s an investment piece,” the Seattle rapper said. “I think that painting is going to be worth a lot of money. I search eBay and Etsy for fine pieces of art. It cost me about $20, I’m pretty sure that the minute the Justin Bieber album went No. 1, I’m pretty sure that painting went to about $30, $33. Do the math, man.”

Macklemore later revealed actually bought the piece as a white elephant gift but the person left it at his studio.
