A$AP Rocky says that he is finishing A$AP Yams‘ Cozy Tapes project.
“I was working on my album,At.Long.Last.A$AP, while he was curating and organizing who he wanted for the new album,” the Harlem, New York rapper says to MTV, “so he put it all in this notebook that I carry around with me every day. I got all his thoughts. I just plan to execute what he started.”
A$AP Yams died in January of acute mixed drug intoxication. He was a founding member of the A$AP Mob.
A$AP Rocky says that he seeks to further Yams’ legacy and that of the other Mob members through the project.

“I gotta make him proud,” he says, “his mom, my mom, my dad, Ferg’s dad, my brother.”
A$AP Rocky’s brother was shot and killed when he was 20 years old.
A$AP Ferg‘s father died before he got to see his son reach commercial success.
