50 Cent says that part of the reason his SMS Promotions failed is because Floyd Mayweather was not able to help him as promised, The Jasmine Brand reports.
In May, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. New court documents say that the promotions company was supposed to be a joint venture between 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather. When the boxer pled guilty to domestic violence charges in December of 2011, the rapper decided to keep the business moving.
A year later, 50 Cent announced on Twitter that the venture, originally named The Money Team, would no longer be associated with Floyd Mayweather’s crew, but would be sponsored by 50’s SMS Audio.
