Bill O’ Reilly believes Hip Hop is causing some Americans to “reject religion.”

During a recent episode of The O’Reilly Factor, the political commentator addressed a Pew Research study that shows in the past eight years, the number of Americans choosing to classify as Christians has declined. Data from the same study also shows a 6% increase in Americans choosing not to identify with a religious tradition at all.

O’Reilly shared his opinion on the study during the “Talking Points” segment of his show.

“There is no question that people of faith are being marginalized by a secular media and pernicious entertainment,” he said. “The rap industry, for example, often glorifies depraved behavior. That sinks into the minds of some young people — the group that is most likely to reject religion.”

In actuality, the study points to millennials – those born after 1980 – as the culprits for the decline in Christianity.
