Battle of the Bay 7 is slated to be one of the most anticipated rap battles of the 2015.

Scheduled for January 23, the bout between Mistah F.A.B. and Arsonal will help further the battle rap scene and show off some of the sport’s best.

Recently speaking with HipHopDX’s Justin Hunte as a part of DX Daily, F.A.B. detailed how the battle against Arsonal came about and says it all started at an oversees show over a year ago.

“We did a show overseas,” he said. “[It] was like a rap battle but we each had certain performances where individual artists were performing and when I get on stage after all my shows I do a freestyle to wrap up the show and I know there was a lot of battle rappers in the house that night and I was feeling a certain type of way and I took a shot at a lot of the battle rappers and let them know that not on your best day can y’all see me. The game ain’t long enough. He took to it, he bit… He took it to Twitter and said some stuff about me and it’s been an ongoing lock in to see how we’re going to get things going… Now we’ve finally got it through.”

Mistah F.A.B. also says he will hate Arsonal on the 23rd as fans already could tell via Twitter.

“It’s been about a year-and-a-half in the making,” he said. “Me and him, to the people who follow our social media outlets, we go at it. You would think that we hate each other. And we will hate each other on January 23.”
