Before hitting the stage at Power 106’s Cali Christmas, Atlanta, Georgia rapper T.I. caught up with J Cruz and Justin Credible to speak on Iggy Azalea’s recent Grammy nominations, performing live, holiday traditions with his family, and more.
T.I. went on to congratulate the Aussie rapstress for receiving four Grammy nominations. He also briefly addressed Iggy’s critics as he declared that he’s proud of her regardless of what “anybody else got to say.”
“Congratulations to Iggy for those four Grammy nominations…I appreciate being a part of—Just being able to contribute,” T.I. said in a video posted on Los Angeles Leakers. “I know she works extremely hard. She works extremely hard and she has an incredible vision for what it is that she wants to see herself. We all proud of her. Regardless of whatever anybody else got to say. We proud of her.”
Among the Grammy nominations Iggy Azalea received were ones for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Best Pop/Duo Group Performance, and Best Rap Album.

The Hustle Gang helmsman later spoke on feeding off of his audience’s energy during his live performances.
“When you record records you putting out energy,” he said. “And when you come to a performance hopefully you get a room filled with people who feed off that energy and give it back to you. And when they give it back to you then you transfer it back to them. It’s an exchange of energy. And as soon as we get out there we gon’ see how ready they is [to turn up].”
In addition to T.I., other artists present at Cali Christmas, which took place over the weekend, included Chris Brown, Trey Songz, J. Cole, and Lil Jon.
