This week, Chicago, Illinois rapper Lil Durk will once again head to court due to weapons violations. The Chicago Tribune reports that Durk was arrested by Chicago gang officers yesterday (November 5) as they were investigating a homicide that did not involve the rapper.
During their homicide investigation, officers visited a home at 5 A.M on Wednesday and were asked to be let inside. A woman then opened the door to let authorities in. This is when officers found Durk near a kitchen island with two guns on top.
He was then arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
According to a police report obtained by the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago lyricist had this to say following his arrest: “I got those pipes ’cause (expletive) always be tryin’ to take my bands.”

Lil Durk is expected to appear in bond court sometime today (November 6).
The arrest this week comes months after Durk pleaded guilty to gun possession charges and declared that he would be “staying out of trouble.”
“The key word is I’ll be staying out of trouble. You can put a capital ‘N’ — for never,” the rapper said while speaking with the Chicago Tribune in August.
