Jadakiss, Lil Wayne and the Ying Yang Twins are just a few of the hip-hop artists who will be lending their voices for the animated television series titled “The Roaches”. The half hour comedy series created by Marcello Robinson and Deborah Young follows a family of roaches who get evicted from their Beverly Hills mansion and are forced to relocate to a Chicago housing project.
The entertainment company 777 is currently shopping the project to major networks and cable stations but Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Lil Wayne, The Ying Yang Twins and Jadakiss are all lending their voices. “It is our goal to take animation television in a new direction across multicultural boundaries that give a realistic view of everyday life while entertaining the masses”, Marcello Robinson said. “The hip hop industry has really embraced this show and is in full support. My Blackberry is blowing up,” said co-producer Onie Rivers. A deal should be finalized shortly and a television airdate will be announced.
