“I’m just working in the studio right now,” he adds later in the article. “I’m trying to get Muddy Waters 2: The Mixtape out by the end of October, and the album next year, around April.”
Redman says that both Muddy Waters 2 projects will feature all original music.

“Usually when I drop a mixtape it’ll be some original and then some over other people’s beats, but this one is gonna be all original so I can distribute it and get the mixtape heard more,” he says. “You know, with mixtapes, a lot of people hear it but I still wanted it to circulate more so that more people hear it.”
In March, Redman discussed the difference between the original Muddy Waters album and its second installment.

“I’m not trying to top the Muddy Waters album,” he said at the time. “What I’m doing by naming it Muddy Waters 2 is to let you relive that ’90s kind of sound and experience.
