Although she hasn’t had her day in court, Lil Kim’s former manager Damion Butler has pleaded guilty in New York to participating in the shooting outside of New York’s Hot97 in 2001. Butler also pleaded guilty to conspiring to obtain/travel with a false passport. The penalty could be up to 71 months in prison and he is currently incarcerated on a separate charge. Lil Kim is set to go to court for perjury, conspiracy and obstruction of justice on February 28th.

In other news Russell Simmons is now one of the new voices for The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals. Russell has been recruited to promote the new toll free hotline for New York residents to report abuse of animals. “There is nothing cool about being cruel to animals”, Simmons said in a statement to the media. “They have no choice or voice”.
