R. Kelly says that he has a new album in the works.

“I want y’all to know a secret,” R. Kelly says in a clip recorded recently at the Chosen Few picnic in Chicago, according to HotNewHipHop. “I’m working on a House album right now, and I want y’all to know its coming. Y’all know I love music and I feel like I can do anything when it comes to music because I am music, just like y’all.”

If R. Kelly does deliver a House album, it would continue the R&B artist’s work in other genres.

In 2002, for instance, R. Kelly helped bring attention to Chicago’s indigenous Stepping scene with his single “Step In The Name Of Love.” The song and its remix were included on the singer’s 2003 album, Chocolate Factory
