Following the release of Kanye West’s sixth studio album, Yeezus, and the launch of his “Yeezus” tour, the Chicago rapper has taken part in countless interviews while off stage and has engaged in what he calls “visionary streams of consciousness” while on stage. Using both outlets, the G.O.O.D. Music emcee has remained heavily vocal when it concerns his opinions on music, fashion and art, among other topics.
But during his latest and final tour rant, Kanye revealed that he may soon be keeping his thoughts to himself for quite some time. While performing at his final “Yeezus” tour stop in Toronto, ‘Ye informed those in attendance to soak in his words since it might be the last time he expresses his opinion for up to a few months.
“Everything I’m saying that’s not allowed, soak it in right now…this might be the last time y’all hear me talk shit for a long time,” Kanye said. “Might be another like six months. At least. You’re just gonna have to run back [my past] interviews and shit if you wanna hear some realness.”
Prior to sharing the news of his soon to be hiatus on rants, Kanye again stated that he’s not an angry person and questioned why speaking the truth makes him come across that way.

“I think it’s a misconception, people be thinking I’m angry and shit and I’m not,” he said. “Why do the truth always sound so angry…I just feel like I wanted to take this opportunity in 2013 to turn up a bit. Ten years from now shit, you know, I’m gonna be running my own Walt Disney and shit. You know? So, I had to take this opportunity.”
Since the start of the “Yeezus” tour in Seattle earlier this year, Kanye has become well-known for his “visionary streams of consciousness,” which can last up to half-an-hour during shows. During his “streams,” the rapper has gone on to criticize Nike, Louis Vuitton, and most recently, those responsible for choosing the nominees for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
“So, when the Grammy nominations come out and Yeezus is the Top 1 or 2 albums on every single list, but only gets two nominations from the Grammys,” ‘Ye said while performing in Phoenix, Arizona. “What are they trying to say? Do they think that I wouldn’t notice? Do they think that some way that I don’t have the power to completely diminish all of their credibility at this moment…People come to me and they congratulate me on those two nominations. Fuck those nominations.”
