Former president of Bad Boy Entertainment, Kirk Burrowes could be looking at 30 years behind bars for allegedly laundering drug money. Burrowes, who sued P.Diddy for $25 million dollars last year claiming he was forced to relinquish his shares in Bad Boy in 1996 after Diddy threatened him with violence, is said to have laundered money through Gutter Keys a music entertainment company.
According to the New York Daily News, the indictment alleges that between April 2000 and August 2002, Burrowes received $1 million dollars in cocaine money and deposited in a separate bank account. There also is said to be a recorded cell phone conversation between Burrowes and a New Jersey man about how the money would be used. He was also said to have obstructed justice by taking relevant documents out of his house. Currently he is out on $250,000 bond and running Plan B, a rap promotion company.
“The informant( a unidentified New Jersey man) in this case is a person who is facing a very lengthy jail sentence and apparently sees the fabrication of a case against my client as a way out of his own problems”, his attorney Alexander Eisman said.
