He may be busy promoting his Citizen Change organization and the “Vote or Die” slogan, but P.Diddy will soon have to turn his focus to minor family drama in court. This week a family court judge ruled to raise Misa Hylton-Brim’s child support payments for their son Justin from $5,000 a month to $35,000, which is the same amount Diddy’s other son’s mother receives.
In addition to the payment increase she was also awarded a lump sum payment of $398,000, continuation of medical insurance for Justin and payment of his $40,000 annual tuition to Horace Mann. P.Diddy’s lawyer has said they will fight this settlement. “The decision that was rendered by the Family Court is patently unreasonable and has serious legal deficiencies that will very likely be reversed on appeal. How a 700 percent increase in support will ultimately be utilized, in light of the fact that Misa Brim has herself and two other children to support, is as patently obvious as the decision is patently unreasonable, “Peter Galasso said.
