50 Cent is slated to appear on an upcoming episode of “Dream School,” a show reportedly meant to help students who struggle in various ways, from trouble with poverty to violence. The Sundance Channel series links teens with celebrity mentors.
A teen on the show, Alan, is transgender boy who was born a girl. Alan is set to appear on the program with 50 Cent as the young person’s mentor.
“I want to graduate and get away from the people at my school,” Alan says on the show, which is slated to premiere next week, as per TheWrap. “I got bullied. I went to the hospital. My mom just didn’t even visit me. I wish I was the person my parents wanted me to be. I wish I was born the person I am now because… I was born a girl.”

50 Cent Denies Ever Being Homophobic
50 Cent, who has used slurs against people who are gay in several songs, including “In Da Club,” was asked about his perceived homophobia.

“I don’t have homophobia,” 50 Cent said to TheWrap. “I never did.
“When you actually make music that mirrors the environment, you use the terminology,” 50 Cent continued. “You use the language. Like if you were making a painting, and you were painting the American flag, if I told you to do that, and not use red, not use the harsh terms or the tougher messages, you would never successfully paint the flag.
“I would use the terminology that would be going around,” 50 Cent added. “My grandfather may say terms — people may actually say terms based on their experiences that were happening at that point…You’ve got people that would call some people a redneck, or some people n—–. It’s the term of that time or that period. They’re not necessarily racist, but they’ve heard those terms used around them, and they use them.”

50 Cent, who rapped about his mother kissing another woman on Game’s “Hate It Or Love It,” says that his love for his mother shows he has no “issues” with people who are gay.
“My mom,” 50 Cent said in his interview. “That’s all I know of my mom…When I tell you she’s the most important thing that I’ve had in my life, because I don’t know my father at all, she’s all I have — it makes it clear that I don’t actually have those issues.”
50 Cent also spoke about welcoming changes in Hip Hop.

“Dream School” is set to premiere Monday (October 7) at 10/9c.
