Russell Simmons is heading to court. Court TV of course to host and executive produce his own weekly reality series. The new series titled “Russell Simmons Presents Hip-Hop Justice” will be portrayed as “the crossroads where hip hop meets crime,” Court TV chairman Henry Schleiff said to the Daily News. The show is hoping to expand its audience to younger viewers and bring Russell Simmons aboard is the first of many changes the channel will go through. The series will deal with such stories as the death of Tupac Shakur, the Notorius BIG, Corey Miller(C- Murder) murder case and the history of Run DMC and Jam Master Jay’s slaying. The show is emblematic of the direction Court TV is going – hip, edgy, young and cutting edge,” Schleiff said. The show will debut on Court TV in the fall.
