Having always been at the forefront of the fashion industry, it’s only right that P. Diddy would be named this year Top Menswear Designer of the Year. During the Fashion Designers of America awards on Monday, P.Diddy took center stage for his Sean John collection beating such top designers as Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors. Having been nominated for this award for times since the Sean John clothing line began in 1998, this was the first time he actually won one. I’m very happy, as you can see. Ralph, you’re still the sexiest man on the planet”, Diddy said when he accepted his award. P. Diddy’s Sean John collection has grossed well over $175 million dollars with a line of sportswear, business and outwear for men. Diddy is now branching out with a women’s line and a new perfume.
MTV is putting plans in motion for new television pilots putting such people as Jay-Z and Farnsworth Bentley in front of the camera for their own weekly show. Jay-Z is up to do a show titled the “ultimate Live Mash-Ups” about disparate acts getting together to combine a song into something new before a live audience. Farnsworth Bentley is up to appear in a show title “Borrow My Crew” a reality show where celebrity’s entourage assists viewers with everyday problems.
