Are you the next MC to take over hip-hop? If you are Heineken USA and Hot97 are looking for you. The two companies have joined forces to create the first “NY/NJ Rock the MIC MC Battle Series”. They are looking for MCs that have excellent delivery, freestyle skills and an overall presence on the mic.
In order to enter this contests MC’s will audition and compete at the Heineken “Roc the Mic” series being held at six different clubs and the winners will emerge with Summer Jam Tickets. Twelve semi finalists will then compete against each other at the Summer Jam Emerging artist stage on June 12th, opening up the Summer Jam Concert. The winner of the semi-finalist battle will then be flown down to Ocho Rios, Jamaica to perform at the Heineken House Party to perform alongside such artists as The Roots, The Ying Yang Twins, Bone Crusher, Jermaine Dupri and many others.
