Rockie Fresh will be hitting the road in support of the January 21 release date of his upcoming mixtape, Electric Highway. The Chicago emcee is headlining a showcase at New York’s SOB’s featuring Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg and other surprise guests on January 23. Rockie Fresh made headlines in 2012 with his Driving 88 mixtape and also by inking a deal with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music imprint. If the “Electric Highway” name sounds familiar, it’s likely because the upmixtape and Rockie Fresh’s previous tour all bear the moniker.

Ross reportedly took a liking to Rockie Fresh’s “Into The Future,” which was found on “Driving 88.” The pair have since collaborated on a remix to the 2012 single “You A Lie.”

***This article has been revised to reflect the following correction***

Electric Highway will be the title of Rockie Fresh’s upcoming mixtape, not his debut, retail album. Featured guests for the mixtape have not been confirmed.
