Gunplay was released on $150,000 bond earlier today and is on house arrest in connection with the robbery of a man at a Miami, Florida tax business.
According to NBC News, the Maybach Music Group rapper is out of prison and is facing charges of second degree aggravated assault with a firearm and armed robbery.
“The state did not prove that Mr. Morales was a flight risk or a threat to the community,” said Gunplay’s attorney Michael Grieco. “He should be home with his family shortly. This is first step in clearing his name so he can continue his emerging music career.”
The Southern rapper was initially arrested after Gunplay reportedly stole a cell phone and gold chain from a man on April 13th. He also threatened the man with a gun, which was shown in footage released to the web.
