Although R. Kelly is being sought after by almost everyone in the music industry from Cash Money to Jay-Z, one rapper won’t be making a call to Kell’s (aka R.Kelly). Cam’ron says R.Kelly is not attempting to honor an agreement that would have R.Kelly appear on a hook and do a beat for Cam’ron’s new album.
“Me, I got beef with R. Kelly,”Cam’ron told MTV. “The ‘Snake’ song, he asked me to fly to L.A. and do the video, I said fine, all in exchange for him to do a beat and hook on my album. There’s no beat from Kelly, there’s no hook from R. Kelly.” Even though R. Kelly has become extremely busy with projects lined up, Cam says he has been in his corner before his legal troubles began. “The whole industry was sh—in’ on you” Cam’ron said. “Now everybody is back on the bandwagon, I’m jumping off. I still love his music, he’s a great musician, but I can’t do business with that man, ’cause that’s bad business. I could have invoiced you and said, ‘This is my fee.’ That’s what I’m gonna do”. Cam’ron’s new album “Purple Haze” is due to hit stores in February. Bootleggers beware; you may have trouble getting all the final cuts of the new album on the streets early because Cam plans to stay in the studio until the last minute.
