Have the battle lines been drawn? A few tracks done by Eminem have recently been leaked on the internet and seem to be focused on one person. Benzino. According to MTV, the tracks were done nearly six months ago, before the racially offensive song against black women that Eminem allegedly did several years ago was brought to light.
On one of the songs titled “Bully”, Eminem says, “That’s what he says to himself as he uses magazines to trash me/ As he sits with both his feet up at his desk/ Smokes a bag of his weed/ And starts imagining things/ And he just can’t see that he’s manically depressed”. Then Eminem continues on to say, “And it’s destroying him slowly/ ‘Cause he does not even know me/ Even though he sees me everywhere he goes/ So he tortures himself/ He has no fortune and wealth/ So he extorts someone else to get his dough.”
The co-owner of The Source resigned from his position on the board of directors for the HHSAN (Hip-Hop Summit Action Network), while Benzino criticized Russell Simmons and the HSSAN for accepting Eminem’s apology. Benzino said he feels the HHSAN are “irresponsible” and Russell Simmons opinion cannot be impartial because Def Jam and Interscope Records report to Vivendi Universal.
