Making good on the promise he made before he began running the New York City Marathon last week, Sean “P.Diddy” Combs presented Mayor Bloomberg and the City of New York with a check for one million dollars last week to go to the public school system.
P. Diddy ran the twenty six mile marathon in just over four hours but isn’t sure if he will run again next year. “I said I would not run again, but if there’s any billionaires or private corporations that would like to see me hurt myself next year, my starting price for the kids of New York is $10 million. I will do it, and I will come in under 3:45 for that check,” he said at the press conference at City Hall. “As long as the money goes to the kids.” Out of the two million Diddy raised one million was split between Daddy’s House (P. Diddy’s own charity to help children headed by Sister Soulja) and Children’s Hope( a charity that helps children with HIV/AIDS).
“This is just a drop in the bucket. This is not a one-time thing. This is something that’s a lifelong commitment for me. I love children, and I feel like they need more support. I feel the only way it’s going to get better is by getting up and getting out there and doing something about it.” If you would like to support the cause log on to www.diddyrunsthecity.com .
