Irv Gotti has decided that he needs a change. In his first order of business he no longer wants his record label Murder Inc., which he professes is the “World’s Most Talented Record Label”, to just be called “The Inc”.
According to MTV no statement or reason was given to the public or press as to why he is changing the name has changed but speculation has been running rampant that the company sometimes has trouble getting across to record stores for promotion with the name Murder attached to it. In the past several video channels including MTV has blurred the group’s name or chosen not to add it when they play videos. Currently “The Inc.” is promoting Ja Rule’s new album “Blood In My Eye” and working on a remix for Ashanti’s hot single “Rain on Me” featuring Charli Baltimore. Charli Baltimore’s long awaited debut album in the label is scheduled to be released early next year.
