Getting major promotion with their new song “Hey Mama” appearing in commerical’s nationwide, the Black Eye Peas are not only happy about the release of their album “Elephunk” in stores but the success it is doing on iPods as well. With the crazy lyrics “Hey Mama, it’s the beat that make you groove mama…” appearing in the new Apple iPod commerical attention has grown not only for the iPod but the Peas as well.

Will.I.AM said “Elephunk was all done on Pro Tools on a Mac G4. I’m really excited that ‘Hey Mama’ went from my Mac at my home studio to being used on an iPod commercial. That’s the ‘Mac Daddy’ achievement”. Will.I.AM is not the only one happy with the success. “The response to our ads featuring The Black Eyed Peas has been terrific,” said George Neill, senior director of Marketing Communications at Apple. “We’re thrilled to have them associated with iPod, the number one digital music player”. The new album “Elephunk” is currently gold on the charts with the single “Where is the Love” in the Top 40. The group is on tour in Europe until the end of the month.
