Despite many DX readers’ aversion to his music, there’s one thing can be said of Flo Rida: the man knows how to top charts. Sixteen weeks since its release, his song “Whistle” continues its streak – and that’s not his only single placed on the list. But Flo Rida’s not the only rapper flexing his muscles on the charts; a host of other emcees continue to pull five-figure downloads with multiple tracks, while dark horses like K’Naan and Outasight prove their worth with top 200 hits.
Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj Top Charts With Multiple Singles
Flo Rida’s single “Whistle” was ousted from its number one spot this week, only to drop to number two with over 200,000 digital sales. This isn’t the only single that the Florida pop rapper has on the charts, however; he’s also secured spots #44 and #102 with singles “Wild Ones” and “Good Feeling,” respectively. Nicki Minaj also proved prolific on the charts this week. Her single “Pound the Alarm” rose from #36 to #18 in its third week on the charts. She also snagged positions #62, #95 and #191 with songs “Starships,” “Beez in the Trap” and David Guetta’s “Turn Me On,” respectively.
50 Cent’s Single Plummets, Kendrick Lamar Enjoys Solid Week
Despite major fan appeal, 50 Cent’s latest single “New Day” featuring Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys had a rough week. In only its second week on the digital charts and a strong #26 debut, the G-Unit general’s latest single plummeted nearly 70 spots to #103. On the flipside, however, Fiddy’s Interscope labelmate Kendrick Lamar enjoyed a nice solid week with his song “Swimming Pools (Drank).” The track, which is slated for his good kid, m.A.A.d city debut, dipped 13 spots in its second week to a comfortable #70.

Fuck the record sales, ain’t no nigga in the industry even close to me!
King Flo Rida’s reign is still a mighty one. The king of hip hop singles, indeed. Just try and stop him, and he’ll end your career with a club banger. Nigga.
Whistle, bitch. Whistle.
Number fucking 1 in the country, mah niggas.
Where are all the 50Cent stans? pls stand up.Can one of you pls help write some comment here to defend our general 50Cent before all the Flo-Rida stans come here and rubbish Curtis Jackson’s figures with some lame comments.(But seriously tho how the fuck does flo-rida do it? that dude got a game plan and some marketing gurus behind him)Dont worry ‘New Day’ from 50cent would pick up gradually, probably already selling mad singles abroad (sic)
Its kinda sad when u see people like flo-rida going pop and they sell mad millions of singles,u think it is that easy,u copy them and then make ur rap/hiphop pop..but wait…u still dont get the same numbers or success as flo-rida…now that is the saddest part bcos u wished u didnt change ur style, now u look silly.
I feel you. Remember the 90’s where artists didn’t need to cross over?
50’S TRACK IS STILL NEW AND DONT EVEN HAVE A VIDEO OR SHIT
lmao at not one Rick Ross single in the top fuckin 200!?!?
hahahahaha MMG don’t run SHIT!
LMAO! I know right, your album just came out lil less than 2 weeks ago, n none of ur shits bumping on the ITunes Chart.
Damn, how does 50’s single plummet from #26 to #103? Wow, that’s a huge fall.
I think it’s because 1: people are already used to the song from Alicia Keys single and 2: Maybe because 50 hasn’t got a video out yet for it but still that’s a huge fall.
50 flopping
fiddy flopping
It’s sad when hip hop only succeeds when it crosses over to pop.
Try listening to DJ Alligator’s Whistle Song.
cant believe 900 thousand suckers bought that wiz khalifa song, its so bad and they coulda got it for free, LOL
DX this is proof of how this site hates 50 Cent, his new single has only been out for 2 weeks still on iTunes only, and hasn’t been sent to radio stations and y’all hatin in Fif already. wat a shame cuz “NEW DAY” gon climb back to the charts and eventually go “GOLD” haters will always hate
i see that you posting overtime for that loser 50……lol
New Day just debut on the radio on August 14. That’s Tuesday that just past, today is August 19. New Day, basically sold based off it’s debut on ITunes. That’s without any real promotion (Commercials, Air Play, Music Video, etc). That’s only off Digital Downloads. To get real downloads u have to get good request from Radio Stations. All them other songs been out for months, I mean that literally. Swimming Pools been out for 5 weeks. Give New Day 5 weeks it will be iight. It came out on the 27th, but it just got released on the radio this week.
i think interscope was testing the waters with new day….now they know what direction to go with 50s new album because on every site its getting great reviews.
Lol…….now they know that he can’t put up good numbers, even with the help of a super producer and superstar r&b artist.
you reaching and nobody believes you nor 50. his days of going platinum are over.
Kendrick got himself a hit.
