Although they have already won the Billboard Award for Independent Label of the Year, Koch Entertainment is planning to really set it off with their fall releases. “It’s been 3 years of hard work,” says KOCH/In The Paint President, Alan Grunblatt. “Bob Frank and Michael Koch have been side-by-side with me on this at every turn. Now that we’ve reached #1 … we have to stay #1. If you look at our release schedule, that shouldn’t be a problem.”
And what a busy release schedule it is. In October Montell Jordan, Goodie Mob and former Cash Money member Turk will be releasing albums. Montell Jordan ‘s album “Life after DEF” pretty much symbolizes how its been for him since he is no longer on the Def Jam Label. Other fall releases will be 2 PAC Best Of/Remix collection entitled “Nu Mixx Clazzicks” while Landspeed is prepping new albums by Dead Prez and Tony Touch. “With all these great releases, I’m grateful to have Dee Sonaram and Shadow Stokes are on board to promote them, “Gunblatt continues. “Their promotions are well earned and they have shown the ability to take a record all the way. They are totally instrumental in the success of the label”
