CyHi the Prynce recently dropped off his new cut “A-Town” featuring B.o.B and Travis Porter, a cut that samples the Atlanta Braves’ Tomahawk Chop war song. During an interview with 3 Little Digs, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper reflected on the genesis of the Anthem-produced track, stating that he brought the unfinished joint to Travis Porter and then B.o.B.

“I had a record that I wanted to do since I was young. I was like, that was a song that really intrigued me. If y’all don’t know what it is, it’s the Braves sample, the tomahawk chop. Being from Atlanta, that was a song that was special to me. I was like, I want to do that. I just hear it as a big anthem for Atlanta,” said CyHi. “I reached out to my partners Travis Porter, shout out to Travis Porter, I fuck with them. I was like, how should I put this together? So they really helped me collaborate on the vibe of the record.”

He followed suit by sending the record to B.o.B, who added his own flair to the cut. “We went over there, I was like, we put it all together and I hit my partner B.o.B and was like, yo, I got this record with Travis man, I need you on it. We the new school, we the new Atlanta. I gave it to him, he chopped it up and did a dope ass verse for me.”

CyHi envisions the track becoming the biggest record in Atlanta, and noted the amount of love it’s already getting on the web.

“Other than that, I put it all together and was like, this is it. What ya’ll heard, that’s exactly what I heard. I think that it’s going to be the biggest record in Atlanta, as far as on a national scale, that being such a popular song.”
