With ODB back on the hip hop scene, it’s only fitting that other members of the Wu-Tang clan prepare to release their own solo albums. Next up to the Mic will be Cappadonna, who is working on his new solo album tentatively titled “The Struggle”.
Most people who follow the Wu know that Cappadonna was the last member to join the large Clan. Cappadonna has been featured on fellow Wu-Tang members albums such as Ghostface and Raekwon but seems to really be able to shine when he is solo. Although many critics have tried to label the music Cappadonna spits, he feels that there is no way to define it. “Throughout my career people have tried to label what I do, but I can’t even do that, and wouldn’t if I could. This album reflects the streets and the trials and tribulations of life. What is a victory if there is no struggle involved? My job is to make people think, or at least give them something real to think about when they are listening to my joints,” Cappadonna said in an interview with Music News. “The Struggle” is scheduled to hit the streets in September.
