When Hanif Mohammad arrived to the Tribeca Film Festival he intended to catch attention with his small role in the Roc-a-fella film “Death of A Dynasty”, but instead he caught the attention of the police. Twenty year old Mohammed came from Philadelphia and got arrested for trying to get into the Festival held in New York City for carrying a loaded .357 magnum handgun.
“Death of A Dynasty” stars Damon Dash. Jay-Z Carson Daly, Lorraine Bracco and Jamie Lynn Siegler of the “Sopranos” fame. Mohammad was standing in line at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center when he noticed patrons were being scanned by hand held metal detectors and tried to put his gun down a female’s blouse then tried to give it to another male friend who wouldn’t take it. The noise caught the attention of the security that caught Mohammad as he was trying to leave and held him until cops arrived. “Death of A Dynasty” is a comedy that tells the story of a young white reporter who try’s to divulge into the Dash’s Roc-A-Fella Empire.
