During this year’s BET College Hip-Hop Fest at Paramount’s Kings Dominion, two people suffered gun shot wounds. On Saturday April 12th, BET and college students from the surrounding areas (Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia) took over Paramount’s Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia for an all day festival of music performances, sorority and fraternity stepshows and amusement park rides.
After the festivities ended an altercation in the parking lot began after an alleged vehicle collision occurred. The alleged shooter David Gleason McKoy was said to have known the two shooting victims. David Gleason McKoy is said to be held in Hanover County Sheriff’s custody without bond and is being charged with things including malicious wounding.
No word had been issued on the victim’s condition. Several of acts that performed and were in attendance during the day were Joe Buddens, Fabolous, Keith Murray and Cam’ron and the Diplomats as well as Free and AJ from Bet’s 106 and Park. Early estimations of the attendance on Saturday were 20,000 people.
