If you happen to be in New York during May 3-11 you may wanna make it to the Tribeca Film Festival to Jay-Z and Damon Dash star in the film “Death of a Dynasty”. Premiering live for the first time, the movie follows a hip-hop journalist (played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach) on a journalist assignment to get an insider’s view of the Roc-A-Fella company.
Rashida Jones (Qunicy Jones’s daughter), Dr. Dre and Ed Lover. Carson Daly, Flavor Flav, supermodel Devon Aoki, DMC and the late Jam Master Jay as well as Jay-Z and Dash all guest star in the movie. Roc-A-Fella films has previously released “Backstage”, “State Property” and “Paper Chasers”, which will also be playing at the festival. The Tribeca Film Festival was co-founded by acclaimed actor Robert De Niro. In other Roc-A-Fella news Jay-Z’s new album “BluePrint 2.1” is currently in stores as well as Freeway’s “Philadelphia Freeway” as well as Memphis Bleek with his new song “Everything’s A Go”. Jay-Z is also getting heavy radio rotation on the song “Beware of the Boys” with Punjabi the MC over the “Knight Rider” beat.
