Sean “P.Diddy” Combs is set to expand his acting resume when he plays the star of HBO feature Film titled “Love In Vain”. Scheduled to begin filming in September in Mississippi, P.Diddy will play Delta blues musician Robert “King of Delta Blues” Johnson in his life story.
Robert Johnson, who was born on May 8, 1911, died at the age of 27 from pneumonia after allegedly being poisoned after drinking an open bottle of whiskey according to deltahaze.com. Robert Johnson only recorded 29 songs before the time of his death including “Crossroads,” “I Believe I’ll Dust My Broom,” “Sweet Home Chicago,” “Terraplane Blues,” and “Love in Vain.”
Popular covers of his songs have been recorded by Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others. P.Diddy also starred in Monster’s Ball” and “Made”. He has been taking acting lessons as of late to improve his skill. In other Bad Boy news singer Kelis has signed a management deal with Diddy’s label.
