Many people wonder how they can get a lucky break in the music business to become the next Jay-Z, Eminem, Nas, Dr. Dre or Redman. Well now is your chance with the “Rapper Search Contest”.
Warner Brothers is launching the contest in conjunction with the new release of the movie “Malibu’s Most Wanted” is starring Jaime Kennedy and Anthony Anderson. The contest began on March 28th on the following stations: Atlanta’s WWWQ, Baltimore’s WHFS, Boston’s WJMN and WXKS, Detroit’s WJLB, Chicago’s WGCI, Phoenix’s KKFR, St. Louis’ KSLZ and KPLR, Los Angeles’ KPWR, and New York’s WQHT. Each station will allow people to perform and DJ’s from the radio station will pick three winners from each city.
The semi-finalists will get their picture, photo and rap posted on the movie website for the movie www.mailibusmostwanted.com. The public will then go to the website and cast their vote from April 1st through the 6th for the top three rappers. The three finalists will be flown to LA to perform for the Goodfellas from Power 106 in LA. The grand prize winner will get to perform at the movie premier receive a $1,000 cash and a trip to see Snoop Dogg perform in concert.
