After being arrested twice in two days in New York City, Fabolous also known as John Jackson was back in a New York City court for criminal possession of a weapon. Police officers pulled over a Ford Van late Sunday night and were said to have found a 9mm pistol inside the vehicle.
The police were tipped off to pull the van over after a security guard that works at Webster Hall saw a gun being put in the van. The van also had four other passengers (who are also facing the same charges), including a bodyguard the record company hired to protect him during the performance at Webster Hall. The bodyguard has admitted the weapon belonged to him but Fabolous was still charged. After the arraignment Fabolous was released on $2,500. Albert Ebanks told Billboard Music, “When you arrest the bodyguard that doesn’t make the papers”. Fabolous second album “Street Dreams” is currently in the top five on the Billboard Music Charts.
