It’s been over two years since Drag-On released his first album, but his life has been even busier since he picked up a new occupation. Moviestar. Drag-On is currently in the box office hit movie “Cradle 2 the Grave” starring opposite DMX and Jet Li.
With a life long stuttering problem, I am sure many people wonder how he seems to keep that out of his music and on-screen. “I can feel myself about to stutter, so when I feel it I pause, then talk. As far as rapping, I got it down”, Drag-On told MTV in an interview. “But this acting thing, there’s no beat involved — it’s talking. But once I say my lines one or two times, it clicks in my brain. I remember it and it becomes like a rhyme.” Currently Drag-On has three more film projects that he is signed up for as well as a new album “Hell and Back” set to be released later this year.
“I’ve been ready, I’ve been done,” he explained. “Even though I’ve been away shooting movies, I never stop writing. It was whenever they were ready for me to come out. The first album, I didn’t have no control over. I didn’t pick beats, I didn’t pick choruses. I just did my verses and left. This album I had full control, sat back and designed how I wanted it to sound.” Several of the guest appearances on the album will be DMX, Baby and TQ of Cash Money.
