Curren$y previously revealed that he plans on releasing Verde Terrace with DJ Drama, Pilot Talk 3 and an untitled project. But he’s got a few more projects he’d like to tackle. Speaking with Splash Mag, he explained that Center Edge Territory – his group with Mos Def and Jay Electronica – still plans on putting out an album, though the timing has to be right.
“Center Edge Territory, that’s not over. I just tweeted it the other day, too. Center Edge is not dead,” he explained. “I told you like I said, when the game is in turmoil, we’ll release records. Right now, the game is OK. I’m not totally disappointed with the state of the game, because Dom Kennedy put out some music. Kendrick Lamar is out, Big Sean’s out. So it’s not that bad. When the game is in total wreck, we’ll be here. But until then, we’re going to chill.
His relationship with Mos Def extends beyond the group. Curren$y says that he and the Black Star emcee plan on linking up for more collaborations soon. “Mos Def is like a big brother to me. I just had a conversation with Mos Def about a week ago about some musical collaborations, so you’re hearing a lot of stuff first.”
He also addressed the possibility of a sequel to Covert Coup, his joint release with The Alchemist. As with Center Edge Territory, it all depends on the state of the game.

“We’ve got more records done, but not albums. I got like two or three other songs by this guy that we haven’t put out. We’re just going to stack ‘em up. We’re probably going to do another Covert coup if the world needs it.”
