After the tragic death of her son The Notorious BIG, Voletta Wallace established the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation (CWMF). On March 11th the CWMF foundation will be paying a tribute to seven mothers of hip-hop and R&B artists who past away over the last couple years.

The event titled The B.I.G Night Out at the Metropolitan Pavilion, will pay tribute to the mothers of Jam Master Jay (Connie Mizell), Tupac Shakur (Afeni Shakur), Big L(Gilda Terry), Freaky Tah (Herminia Rogers), Aaliyah (Diane Haughton), Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes (Wanda Lopes) and Big Pun (Gail Tirado). Some of the celebrities scheduled to attend the event are Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, Wyclef Jean, Jay-Z, Rev. Run and DMC as well as Faith Evans and many others.

The public is allowed to attend the event once a ticket is purchased for the price of $250.00. All proceeds for the event will go to the CWMF. The CWMF provides books, scholarships and computers to children in need. For information on the event call (917) 873-9167.
