Hip-Hop has made its way back to the top of the movie ratings. Rapper/ Actor DMX also known as Earl Simmons new movie “Cradle 2 the Grave” has taken the number one spot at movie theatres nationwide. Bringing in over $16.5 million dollars this weekend, the movie knocked Ben Affleck’s “Daredevil”. “Cradle 2 the Grave” is about DMX and his crew heisting diamonds from a safe and the huge battle that ensues to get them back. “Cradle 2 the Grave” also stars Gabreille Union, Jet Li and Drag-on. DMX’s book E.A.R.L has also been critically acclaim and on the best seller list since its release last year. X’s is also planning to release a new album later this year and has said he will retire from the rap game.
