First the fight and concert was scheduled to take place and Mike Tyson seemed calmer than he had been in years. Then over the weekend Tyson’s camp called off the fight against Clifford Etienne after problems with Tyson seemed to grow.
Management said Tyson missed several flights to Memphis Tenn., and had a allergic reaction to a tattoo he allegedly got on the left side of his face. But less than twenty-four hours later the fight and concert were reinstated. Over the past couple of weeks ShowTime (the network sponsoring the fight and concert) have been showing a special on Jay-Z’s preparation for the concert, some of his background as a rapper and where his career has taken him. The special also shows Mike Tyson’s dominance in the world of boxing.
With the fight back on, the event will still be Jay-Z performing a live one hour concert before the main event fight between Mike Tyson and Clifford Etienne(who proclaims he is not afraid of this fight, he believes he is in the 1% range of people that can beat Mike Tyson.). Again, the fight and concert will be broadcasted on February 22nd, so watch it!!!
