Lee Quiñones’s Zorro persona in Wild Style captured a very real truth about taggers: all graffiti writers tip-toe the line between artist and outlaw. Now, Los Angeles bomber Revok is feeling the harsh truth of this notion after he was arrested last week at LAX.

Revok, also known as Jason Williams, was arrested last Thursday on an outstanding warrant for failing to pay restitution for previous cases of vandalism. The internationally respected writer was detained by police while boarding a plane at LAX due for Ireland.

According to the Los Angeles Times, authorities claim that Williams heads up the graffiti crew Mad Society Kings, or MSK for short. He is currently being held in Los Angeles County Jail on bail for $320,000.

This isn’t the first time that Williams has been arrested over his art. In 2009, he was arrested for violating his probation by being in possession of spray tips, which fall under the legal auspiscies of “vandalism tools.” He had also been arrested earlier that year after Tweeting about a tagging spree in Australia
