Although he intended to help the city of Miami celebrate Martin Luther King’s Jr. birthday during the parade, it seems Trick Daddy made the police officers upset.
Trick Daddy was performing during the two mile parade/concert sponsored by WEDR Miami 99 Jamz in downtown Miami on January 20th, which he continuously asked for his sound system to be turned up. The police officers who were protecting the crowd and trying to prevent any violence, said that they didn’t want the music to go any louder. Trick Daddy soon become upset about his request and began shouting F**k the police on stage towards the crowd.
Police decided to shut down his remaining concert time, which shut down the entire concert. Trick intended to bring Latocha Scott on stage with him to perfom his new single “Thug Holiday” before he was shut down. Slip-N-Slide’s first lady Trina also made an appearance so they could perform their hit “Ain’t No N**”. The organizers of the parade were trying to make sure the event didn’t end in violence during the performance, which it didn’t.
