In groundbreaking news for entertainment lovers every where, Radio One and Comcast Cable company will be joining forces to create a second network geared toward African-Americans from age 25-54 years old.

The new as-yet unnamed network will feature up to date news, movies, sports programming and music. CEO/ President of Radio One, Alfred Liggins believes the start of the new network will “complement” BET as a station. Radio One will be contributing $70 million dollars for 40% interest in the network and Comcast and several other investors will contribute $60 million over a period of four years.

“We believe this service is going to be very different than BET,” Alfred Liggins, who will be the CEO of the network said in an interview with Radio One. This marketplace can support more than one good idea”. The network is set to begin in midyear so look out for it!
