Only weeks after the opening of his fried chicken franchise, Flav’s Fried Chicken, famed Public Enemy hypeman Flavor Flav has already hit possible financial problems.

According to an Iowa news station, several of Flav’s employees are claiming that they have been unable to cash checks from the restaurant.

“My check was only $150 and they couldn’t even cash it,” one of Flav’s employees revealed to WQAD.

Both Flav and the restaurant’s owner, Nick Cimino, have responded to complaints of the alleged bounced checks.

“It’s not true information first of all and second of all maybe these are people that’s just jealous of me being here and probably want to see me out,” said Flav, reports WQAD. “Yes, we do have money in our accounts.”

“We had a little glitch in the credit cards, we had a couple that did bounce that happens to any new business,” Cimino added. “We stopped taking credit cards as soon as I found out.”

Flav’s Fried Chicken opened in Clinton, Iowa on January 24, 2011.
