On Thursday, October 16th 2002, Cam’ron was in the house and everybody knew it. The ‘Paid’ show opened with NAAM Brigade bringing the hardcore sounds of south Philly…hyping the standing room only crowd for newly signed Roc-a-fella artists, M.O.P. Then Mr. Victor Santiago alias Melvin Flynt and now nickname-turned-official-new-moniker N.O.R.E. took the stage and that was all the crowd needed to have all security in the joint looking for a nice warm corner to curl into and think sweet thoughts.
Nore, one must say tore the set up…laying into the crowd, blunt hanging from his mouth and mike extended to the crowd throughout his performance. He closed out with his classic ‘Whaat!’
After that…you could feel it in the air, Killa Cam was back in da Chi and he was there to show his love.
By the time Cam’ron’s set closed down…there were over 50 people on stage…half of which were pulled from the audience. Now I’m not talking Backstage Honeys or After-Party Hounds…Cam called and pointed out almost all from the audience by name.

‘I’m here to give props to the Chi…dem Wild 100’s!’ exclaimed Cam to the security, who, attempted at first to stop the rush to the stage by those called. ‘These is my peeps and my fam! I wouldn’t be up here and YOU definitely wouldn’t be getting paid if it weren’t for them!’
The audience responded with claps and raised fists, chanting ‘Cam!’ Showing more love…over a 100 CDs…about three stacks of $5, $10 and $20 bills (with a couple of fifties and hundreds in those stacks) were tossed into the audience. Along with that about 10 bottles of Moet and another 10 bottles of Grey Goose were passed from the stage into awaiting audience member’s outstretched hands.
At the same securities, who were attempting to stop the onslaught to the stage, managed to pocket a bit of the thrown chedda’ and well as scoop up a couple of bottles of smooth libations. Cam showed he wasn’t mad at nobody…showing that since signing with ‘the Roc’ d boy is getting’ Paid In Full!
