Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Former Manager Says Widow “Sold Out for Peanuts”

The passing of Ol’ Dirty Bastard was one that struck the Hip Hop community in 2004. Now, Jarred Weisfeld, the Wu star’s former manager, is saying that ODB’s widow “sold out for peanuts.” Weisfeld claims Icelene Jones sold away the rights to A Son Unique, ODB’s prized posthumously-released disc for $10,000.

“She sold out for peanuts,” he told the New York Post.

He also believes that the album could have given Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s family millions, including his mother and the mothers of his children.

According to the New York Post, Icelene Jones did not return calls.

I wonder if it……well I guess the Wu had nothing to do with it. Would have been great since most of the Wu was related to have him signed with them and they give his estate a lil something from each member if they really tight. 13 kids is alot you gotta damn near be a pharoah wit that many kids in todays times mucho dinero. He had like 2 gold albums in his career been apart of platinum projects but legal woes, crumb snatchers, bad habits, and women prolly left him somewhat tapped. 10k is cheap considering she could have gave the rights to the RZA to do an official WU release and let the group kinda promote it at they shows. Hard to say if the album will dominate sales wise.
