Houston rapper Paul Wall is gearing up to release his fourth studio album next week. The LP, titled Heart of a Champion features artists like Chamillionaire, Raekwon, Jay Electronica, and others. For fans who are linked to Facebook, Paul Wall’s own fan page will include new daily snippets of his upcoming music.

Heart of a Champion releases on Jul. 13.

In other news, Reggae and Dancehall artist Collie Buddz announced that he will join Cypress Hill and Slightly Stoopid on their summer tour. The jaunt, called “Cauzin Vapors…Legalize It,” will see the emerging artist appear throughout Southern California as well as New Jersey, Florida, Chicago, and other locations.

The tour kicks off in Irvine California on Jul. 16.

Lastly, member of MTV’s Top DJs, J. Period, will showcase a live mixtape at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. The 30-minute set will feature a line-up of as-of-yet unannounced Hip Hop artists, a tradition that has been upheld for the past five years.

The event goes down on Saturday, Jul. 10. Also appearing at the festival are De La Soul, Boot Camp Clik, and Money Makin Jam Boys.
